Time Capsule buried on Rivington Green

A donation to the Parish Council from the estate of the late Mr Dennis Wallace has been used to create a time capsule which was buried under the flagpoles commemorative stone on Rivington Green today. Parish Council Chair David Jones can be seen positioning the capsule prior to the stone being placed on top of it. A very generous gesture from Mr Wallace, a resident of Horwich, who made the donation because of his love of Rivington, and much appreciated by the Parish Council. The time capsule contains historical information on Rivington and Horwich, the 1902 Lever Park Act,, and a USB stick with Parish Council documents.. A big thank you to Richard and Paul from United Utilities who laid the commemoritive stone for us.
